How advance written in previous post, the mountain was getting ready to snow. In fact in recent days, copious snow fell from 1300 meters up. Since yesterday made a point of warm up slightly the level of snow, however this morning the mountain from 1500 feet of the Pollino appeared cloaked in a blanket White over 15 cm of snow!

The snow for now is small but looking at the weather we are confident the cards .... if confirmed by the snowfall on the Pollino should not miss this week .... So next Sunday we will be ready to dust snow shoes and warm our off-road, so you can enjoy the excitement of a day in the snow on the trails of the Pollino National Park!

It 'just passed another Sunday pleasant, warm and sunny, walking in the woods, discovering Loricato del Pino, a symbol of the Pollino National Park. Guests de La Locanda di San Francesco Viggianello, were able to enjoy a relaxing walk on the floor of the roars up the Belvedere panoraamico Malventi, walking on a thick carpet of leaves ....

The Prairie Plan Ruggio (1550 m) and the woods of Serra del Prete are ready for snow now, and to give us views of wintry atmosphere ....

We too are waiting for the snow because in less than a month we will be ready to welcome the snow shoes !!!.... to discover the paths of the Pollino snow-covered with snow shoes!

What a great weekend! What peace and relaxation! What colors and silence!

Guests de La Locanda di San Francesco di Viggianello have enjoyed during this first weekend of the Pollino National Park in a mild climate and pleasant before the arrival of 'Winter in the mountains. Accompanied by the last cows on the trails in transhumance we enjoyed views and colors that only autumn in the beech wood can give!

Throughout the month of November will continue walking and trekking to discover the loricati pine trees along the paths of the Pollino National Park ..... before the arrival of snow shoes (hiking with snowshoes )
